Susan's Shanghai Blog - Week 101

It's Christmas time again in Shanghai. This year I didn't go overboard taking pictures of the decorations but I did do a few.

First up is the Cartier store in the IFC Mall .. they always do nice decorations.

The mall itself had this big centerpiece in the middle.

Super Brand Mall also normally does a pretty good job with decorations on the outside, over the entrance. Then inside that main entrance, they had a carousel with white horses.

This year we took a walk through the Shangri-la hotel and they had a few decorations at various points in their lobby.

One of the business towers where I sometimes stop at the Starbucks in the lobby also had a couple trees with Santa and his sleigh.

At night, the outside of the IFC is decorated with lots (and lots) of blue and somewhat purple lights.

And the side of Super Brand also has more lights

Central Plaza is a near People's Square, and has one of the two locations of Kebabs on the Grill, which is one of our favorite Indian restaurants here. They also had a nice Christmas tree in the lobby.

Starbucks had a promotion this year where if you drank enough of their signature holiday drinks, you could get this music box in the shape of a big Starbucks cup. Here you can see the 4 white things on the glass. Those are for 4 little bears that you get for drinking even MORE signature drinks. I was able to drink enough to get 2 bears .. well, I have enough for 1 more bear but so far, all of the Starbucks locations that I've gone to are now out of the little bears.
