Susan's Shanghai Blog - Week 68

This is going to be a semi-short week of random thoughts and picture.

Spring has sprung in Shanghai, and you can tell in a few different places and ways.

The turtles in the little pond at work sunning themselves in their little pond.

Every day, there is a young lady with a van selling strawberries out of the back of it near the metro station at work. I've become somewhat addicted .. I tend to pick up a bowl almost every day on my way home from the office.

Flowers are out and blooming, and they have "unwrapped" our palm trees in the apartment complex

The IFC mall and Green City had Easter displays.

We went to the Vienna Cafe for Easter Brunch and one of the things that they gave us to take home was an Osterzopf, or Easter Bread (YUMMY)

Not so much spring, but we were over walking in this one area and we noticed this great architecture of what looked like a really old building stuck on the side of a newer one.

And now the funny thing for the week. I've mentioned about how when certain things are translated from Chinese to English, they make almost no sense. Here is an example, that we see every time we head over to Carrefour. I understand each of the 3 words, but together .. hmmm.....
