Our Blog - Normandy 2023 - Fontaine-La-Soret, France

A short stop at the Parc and Château in Fontaine-la-Soret, which is a tiny village situated on an old royal route between Paris and Caen, equidistant between the two. The château was built between 1765 and 1769, with a large park surrounding it. The house is a private residence but they allow the public to walk around the gardens during certain times. The 30 acre park is split into 3 different parts, with one section matching the original drawings from 1775. There is one tree on the property, a Lebanon cedar, which dates back to this original 1775 garden.

Lucy even got to play with an old dog (maybe a Golden?) that lives there ... you might have noticed him in one of the pictures!
