Apartment Hunting Blog - rue PargaminiersThis apartment is about 2 blocks or so from Place du Capitole, so right in Centre Ville. Up the stairs within the courtyard and into the apartment, which goes directly into the living room/dining room combination. One wall (the one with the door) has large windows overlooking the courtyard and is exposed brick. The orange leather furniture wouldn't be on the top of my list, but it was is really good shape. On the other side of the large open room was the rectangular dining room (yea, purple chairs) and a large built-in storage unit with sliding doors. There was also another closet just behind the front door for things like cleaning supplies and just additional storage.
The kitchen was also open to the living room and had this bar with stools. Tom wasn't a big fan of the back-splash but the kitchen was really nice ... big fridge, oven, 4-burner cooktop, microwave, dishwasher ... even little wine-cubby-holes!
Here was where Susan started grinning ear-to-ear ... down the hallway and on the right-had side, a full washer AND dryer, along with additional storage! OMG, I'm in heaven! I know ... it's weird, but when you are looking at places with just a washer, or the only space is to put a little 18" wide washing machine ... this really makes your day.
The bathroom was well done ... tub/shower combination with a large trough sink.
Now, the bedrooms left a bit to be desired after the washer/dryer .. the master did have a nice entire wall-unit of storage with hanging area, drawers, and shelves. But the guest room was again, more like an office with a futon and really no storage space (which I guess is why there was a bit of hanging space in the dining room built-ins.
