The park is great for dogs, and they have a couple of areas that allow your dogs to be off the leash. There are several routes that are clearly marked that take between 45 and 90 minutes. Throughout the park, there are informational signs targeted to kids. For example, there are Rhododendron trees with information about the rhododendron forests in the mountains of Nepal, and the red pandas that live in those forests.

This black "stones" are called Pebble Seats, and are actually made of wood. They are carved from locally-sourced Sequoia wood, then charred and oiled using an 18th-century Japanese technique. This increases durability and longevity, highlighting the natural grain in the wood. There were several of them in one section of the garden where people could sit and watch the birds.
