Rennes - the capitol of Brittany, it was also hosting the Ladies World Cup of Soccer at the time of our visit.

Vitré - King Henry IV stated "If I was not King of France, I want to be bourgeois from Vitré!"

Saint-Malo - a walled city on the water, with forts that are only accessible during low tide.

Dinan - a medieval town on a hilltop, with many fine old buildings, some of which date from the 13th century.

Vannes - a market town linked to the sea, sitting on the Gulf of Morbihan.

Poitiers - a stop on the way home, one of the biggest university towns in France, a law degree at the University of Poitiers is considered to be one of the best in France.
