Susan's Blog - Denver and the Grand Canyon
This is one of our longer vacations, and we took TONS of pictures (especially in the Grand Canyon), so I've separated it into multiple pages from a main page here. We did a trip "out West", and spent about 4 days in the Denver area and then 3 in the Grand Canyon area. While we were in Denver, we did two side trips: one to Colorado Springs (Air Force Academy, Garden of the Gods, and US Olympic Training Center) and the other to Boulder. The Grand Canyon days includes the drive from Phoenix up to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon and sunset; a full day in the Grand Canyon also including sunset; and the final day was a helicopter ride over the South and North rims, Meteor Crater near Winslow, Arizona, and the drive back to Phoenix. |
